Clomid prescription: Clomiphene comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day for 5 days, beginning on or about day 5 of the cycle. To help you remember to take clomiphene, take it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take clomiphene exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Clomiphene is also sometimes used to treat male infertility, menstrual abnormalities, fibrocystic breasts, and persistent breast milk production. Clomid use: Clomid is used for the induction of ovulation, and frequently for women with disorders like PCOS and anovulation (anovulation: absence of ovulation or failure to ovulate). Please note that while clomid is among the most "popular" and most prescribed fertility meds, this does not mean it is for everyone!. Only women with specific symptoms and/or disorders should take clomid, as indicated by a doctor.

Clomid is a brand name for the generic drug clomiphene citrate. It is given in tablets for the treatment of women whose ovaries do not function efficiently enough to allow for pregnancy. In most cases, the best results are seen in women who suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome, a disorder which prevents women from ovulating every month, as well as other conditions which prevent women from ovulating. Once regular ovulation has been established, treatment includes proper timing of sexual intercourse and beginning each new course of Clomid on the fifth day of the cycle.
